In the spiritual teachings of Dr. Bula Moyo, a love potion is a "Condition Oil" or a "Sweetener." In Hoodoo, we use the natural spirits of herbs, minerals, and roots to influence the "Spiritual Atmosphere." If you have used divination and seen that the road to love is open but "dry," a love potion is the "water" that makes the garden grow.
Honey Jars (Sweeteners): Used to make someone "sweet" on you, or to soften a difficult partner.
Attraction Oils/Perfumes: Worn on the body to increase your "Hayba" (prestige) and magnetic pull.
Floor Washes/Sprays: Used to "draw" love into a specific room or home.

This is the most famous Hoodoo technique for long-term influence and kindness in a relationship.
Ingredients: A small glass jar, Honey, a piece of Cinnamon, and a "Petition Paper" (your name and the target's name written across each other).
The Technique: Place the paper in the jar. Fill it with honey. Add the cinnamon.
The Action: Every Friday, burn a small red candle on top of the jar while whispering your intent.
The Result: This doesn't force a person; it "soaks" their spirit in sweetness, making them think of you with warmth and affection.
A traditional "Wearable" potion to ensure you are the only one your partner—or a room full of strangers—sees.
Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil (base), Dried Rose Petals, a Vanilla Bean, and a small Lodestone (to provide magnetic pull).
The Technique: Combine ingredients in a glass bottle. Let it sit in a dark place for one full moon cycle.
The Action: Anoint your pulse points (wrists and neck) before a date or an important social gathering.
To be used when a partner has become distant or when you want to "Invite" a new soul into your home.
Ingredients: Red Rose Water, Sugar, and Peppermint.
The Technique: Mix into your mop water or a spray bottle.
The Action: Mop from the front door inward toward the bedroom. This "pulls" the energy into your private sanctuary.
Never "lay a trick" for love without first performing a reading. If the spirits say that a person is toxic or "Forbidden" (already happily married), your potion will either fail or bring "Salt" (misfortune) into your life.
If you want a high-value, respectful partner, your potion must be "High Vibration." Use quality ingredients. If you use cheap, artificial scents, you will attract "Cheap" and superficial connections.
If you are using a love potion to "fix" a relationship, you must also perform a Spiritual Cleansing on yourself. You cannot "sweeten" a partner if your own energy is full of bitterness or desperation.
"I tell my clients: A love potion is not a leash; it is a Lamp. It lights up your best qualities so the right person can find you in the dark. If you try to use Hoodoo to 'enslave' a soul, the ancestors will turn their backs on you. But if you use it to 'open the heart' and 'clear the static,' you are doing sacred work that leads to a true, lasting union."
A: NO. In traditional Hoodoo, we rarely put things in people's food or drink (unless it is a specific kitchen-witchery tradition). Most potions are "Contact Potions"—worn by you or placed in their environment (like a Honey Jar).
A: Honey moves slowly. You should see a "softening" of the target's attitude within one moon cycle (28 days). If the relationship is very cold, it may take three months of consistent "feeding."
The roots are ready to serve your heart. Are you ready to stop waiting for love and start "Drawing" it toward you?
