How to perform a Salt Water Cleansing Ritual at Home
By Doctor Bula Moyo | Spiritual Cleansing Specialist
You shower every day to clean your body. But when was the last time you cleaned your energy?
Throughout the day, you walk through clouds of stress, anger, and jealousy. You pick up "spiritual dirt" from the subway, your office, or difficult people. If you don't wash this off, it hardens into a shell that blocks your blessings. You feel heavy, tired, and irritable.
The cure is in your kitchen cupboard. Salt.
Salt is the Earth's natural sterilizer. It has been used by African Healers, Catholic Priests, and Eastern Mystics for thousands of years to banish evil and absorb negativity.
Here is my step-by-step guide to performing a powerful Spiritual Salt Bath in your own home to reset your aura.
In the Image above: Relaxing spiritual salt water cleansing ritual with candles to remove negative energy, calm the mind, and reset your aura. This simple bath helps you wash away stress, bad luck, and spiritual heaviness so you can feel lighter, clearer, and more protected.

What You Need (Ingredients)
-
1 Cup of Coarse Sea Salt or Pink Himalayan Salt.
-
Note: Do NOT use regular table salt (iodized salt). It is too processed and has lost its spirit. You need salt that still remembers the ocean or the earth.
-
-
A White Candle: To represent purity and light.
-
A Glass of Fresh Water: To keep near the bath.
The Step-by-Step Ritual
Step 1: Set the Intention
Spiritual work is 10% ingredients and 90% intention. Before you turn on the tap, light the white candle. Stand in the bathroom and say out loud: "I prepare this water to cleanse my spirit. As the salt dissolves, let all negativity dissolve. Only light may remain."
Step 2: The Mixture
Run a warm bath. Pour the salt in. Stir the water with your hand counter-clockwise (to undo/remove energy).
-
Optional: You can add fresh rosemary or lavender for peace, but salt alone is enough for a deep clean.
Step 3: The Soak
Get into the water. Do not use soap or shampoo. This is not a hygiene bath; it is a spiritual bath. Soak for 15β20 minutes.
-
Visualize: Imagine the "dirt" on your spirit looking like black mud. See the salt water dissolving it, pulling it off your skin, turning the water grey.
-
Pray: Speak to your Ancestors or God. Ask them to remove specific things (e.g., "Remove the stress from my boss," "Remove the jealousy of my ex").
Step 4: The Release
This is the most important part. When you pull the plug, do not get out yet. Sit there and watch the water drain away. As it swirls down the drain, visualize all your bad luck, sickness, and heavy energy going with it. Say: "It is gone. It does not belong to me."
Step 5: The Aftercare
Rinse quickly with cool water if you wish, but it is better to let the salt water dry on your skin naturally (air dry). Put on clean, light-colored clothes. Do not go out partying afterwards. Rest. Drink plenty of water.
When a Salt Bath is NOT Enough
A salt bath is like brushing your teethβitβs great for daily maintenance. But it cannot fix a broken tooth.
You need a Professional Healer if:
-
You feel better after the bath, but the bad luck returns within 24 hours.
-
You have deep-rooted Generational Curses.
-
You are dealing with a specific, targeted spiritual attack (Evil Eye or Witchcraft).
In these cases, salt is too weak. You need Muthi (Traditional Medicine) and a specific ritual performed by a healer to break the heavy chains.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: I don't have a bathtub. Can I use a shower? A: Yes. Mix the salt with water in a bucket or bowl. Stand in the shower and pour the mixture over your head (or shoulders down), scrubbing it onto your skin like a scrub. Visualize the water washing the negativity down the drain.
Q: Can I do this for my children? A: Yes. Children absorb energy like sponges. If your child is having nightmares or acting out, a gentle salt bath (with less salt) can help calm their spirit.
Q: What day is best? A: Friday is excellent for love and peace. Saturday is best for banishing and heavy protection.
